Berry Banana Mint Smoothie

I made this yummy smoothie for breakfast this morning. I’ve shared a similar recipe to this before, but it was over a year ago and my picture needed some updating (imagine that…)! Anyway, I shared in my recent gardening post that I was growing mint again this year. I finally got around to using some of it today…and I have a lot more plans for it soon! For now, though, here is my delicious Berry Banana Mint Smoothie!

Berry Mint Smoothie

I love that this fresh mint flavor can be added to so many smoothie recipes. I’m thinking a chocolate mint smoothie might be one of my next creations…yum!!

Berry Banana Mint Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 10-15 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup milk (cow’s, almond, coconut, etc.), plus additional (if needed)
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 3/4 cup frozen organic berries
  • Optional add-ins: 1 T chia seeds, spinach leaves

Add mint leaves and milk to a blender. Mix on high until leaves are just tiny, tiny pieces. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

I’ve owned these stainless steel smoothie straws for almost a year now. They’ve completed eliminated plastic straw waste in our house…love them!

LeAnn Nome

Hi there! Here's a little info about me: I've been married to my husband for over 10 years and I'm a stay-at-home mom to our three young kids (a six year old daughter and four year old twin boys). As you might imagine, they keep me quite busy! In early 2013, we decided that we wanted to be a healthier family. To do this, we cut out all processed foods from our home and we now eat only REAL, whole foods. (When we're on vacation or at someone's house, we're not quite as strict.) We also try to exercise every day. Our goal is to raise healthy, happy kids...while maintaining our own health and happiness along the way! I hope you will follow along with us in our journey.
