2014 Family Christmas Card

I love creating our family Christmas cards each year. It’s fun to look back on the year, not only in pictures but also at all the fun things we did. I have to say, though…this year’s Christmas card is by far my favorite! We had so much fun with it! Have you seen The Holderness Family’s #XMAS JAMMIES video? It went viral last year and has been watched at our house more times than you can imagine. Really… 🙂 My kids (especially my daughter) LOVE that video!! They think it’s so much fun…and my husband and I enjoy it every time, as well. (I won’t lie…it’s very cute and catchy!) Anyway, the kids have been asking if we could get Christmas jammies this year. So, we did. And then we took our Christmas card photos in them. And then we danced in them…

And then I mailed out exactly 99 of these cards to our friends and family (I have a big family)!

We also included a little recap from our year on the back. I love doing this because it’s a great way to fill people in on what we’ve been up to all year! (Especially nice for those who aren’t on Facebook or we don’t see regularly.)

Before we took our fun photos, we wanted to take a “serious” photo first. This is actually a really nice family photo…but it was too ‘boring’ for what we had in mind. 🙂

This was all a “top secret” mission. When we received our jammies in the mail (which was no easy feat since they kept selling out at Target…and we never could get my husband’s size in the elf version), we told the kids they couldn’t tell ANYONE. Not their grandparents, not the neighbors…no one that would be getting a card from us, at least. We took the pictures with the self timer on my phone and it worked out perfectly! We got some great photos. Here are all the shots we took, including the ones that didn’t make the cut.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Hi there! Here's a little info about me: I've been married to my husband for over 10 years and I'm a stay-at-home mom to our three young kids (a six year old daughter and four year old twin boys). As you might imagine, they keep me quite busy! In early 2013, we decided that we wanted to be a healthier family. To do this, we cut out all processed foods from our home and we now eat only REAL, whole foods. (When we're on vacation or at someone's house, we're not quite as strict.) We also try to exercise every day. Our goal is to raise healthy, happy kids...while maintaining our own health and happiness along the way! I hope you will follow along with us in our journey.
